Our elementary school consists of K3 – 6th Grade. The curriculum includes Bible, Phonics, Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Handwriting, Art, Music and P.E.

ASCS Curriculum | Elementary Campus

ASCS strives to provide the most specialized and relevant academic instruction possible (Colossians 3:23). Our curriculum is Bible-centered, presenting a Christian worldview (Colossians 2:6-8).

Special Offerings & Electives

Shores Outdoors - Classroom & Weather Station

At Atlantic Shores Christian School, we strive to integrate Biblical principles in all that we teach, both inside the classroom and out. This innovative, comprehensive thinking led us to introduce a remarkable outdoor classroom named “Shores Outdoors – God’s Creation Station.” This plot of land provides a unique opportunity for children to learn first-hand what a wonderful world God created!

Physical Education Program

Physical Education at Atlantic Shores is a great time for the students to learn about sportsmanship, game skills, working on a team, following directions, goal setting and most of all- having fun!

Library

Our elementary campus has a new library filled with the latest in technology. With the addition of new computers, our students are able to achieve academic excellence in every assignment! Our students look forward to taking their Accelerated Reader tests on these computers, ensuring accuracy when calculating their Accelerated Reader points.

Accelerated Reading

Renaissance Home Connect is a fun, easy-to-use, easy-to understand web-based interface that allows your child, the parent, and the teacher to share in the educational experience.

Cafeteria

At ASCS we are aware that this meal is an important one – not only for nutrition but for re-energizing our students physically and mentally. Our students have the choice of bringing their own bag lunch from home, or they can choose to order a hot lunch from our cafeteria.

Resource Department

Our mission is to support and equip ALL students to be able to see themselves through Christ’s eyes by providing them with the learning environment and tools necessary for them to become lifelong learners.

We are determined to prepare every child for academic success! Our elementary campus offers a variety of resource programs and services to help students reach their full potential.

STEM Academy

The STEM Academy at ASCS is a unique educational program designed to enhance the standard grade-level curriculum and experience while allowing students to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. Students will tackle many new concepts while also using the 5 C’s of the 21st-century student: critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, communication, and citizenship.

Advanced Reading & Math

Advanced Reading offers students the opportunity to experience a novel-based curriculum in a challenging environment!

Foreign Language

As we learn about the Spanish language, we realize what a BIG and awesome world God has created. As we explore themes such as colors, family, numbers, community, emotions, and animals, we discover how God reveals himself in and through His creation and how He created with order, precision, and purpose. In order to foster a Biblical worldview, Biblical integration is a regular part of class.

Elementary Book Fair

Twice a year, Atlantic Shores brings the fun experience of shopping at the Book Fair to our Elementary Students. It is always a highlight of the year for the students and this program helps supplement our own Library!
