The ASCS Co-Ed golf program offers an opportunity for young golfers to improve their skills and compete at a higher level. Our practices and home matches are held at Honey Bee Golf Course in Virginia Beach. The program offers the golfer a chance to improve all skill sets, course management, golf rules and etiquette.
In the past several years, we have had a few of our golfers move on to the next level. Our goal is to compete, focus on mental strategies, and do everything with a strong Christian character.
Practice round scores, rules knowledge and practice participation determine who plays in matches. Players are flighted based on these criteria with the top six competing in formal matches. Competitions are held at some of the nicest golf courses in the Greater Hampton Roads area and beyond. This can be an experience that will be remembered long after their high school years.
Tim Roscher is entering his 7th year coaching the ASCS team and is in his 3rd year as Head Coach. An avid golfer since age 14, he played on his High School team and was on several intramural teams during his Coast Guard career.
The ASCS Golf team recorded a 12-2 record for the 2014 season and finished second in the METRO Conference Tournament held at Kiskiack Golf Club in Williamsburg.
ASCS had two players named ALL METRO CONFERENCE: Tyler Putnam and Andrew Lineberry.
Tyler Putnam also qualified to participate in the State Championship held in Farmville Va.
