Each novel has biblical integration, skills lessons, vocabulary, and comprehension questions incorporated into it. These components foster student's abilities to use higher level and critical thinking skills. There are daily interactive discussions and almost every book has a unique project as as a culminating activity. Students really enjoy making the dioramas, posters, mobiles, culinary creations and exploratory essays!

ADVANCED MATH

The Advanced Math classroom at Atlantic Shores offers students another opportunity to become academically excellent. While learning a full grade level ahead in our math curriculum, these students are able to lay the foundation for the critical advanced math courses of high school and beyond. Advanced Math is taught during the regular classroom math period. The advanced students are picked up and taken to the Advanced Math classroom for 45 minutes. By structuring the classroom in this way, students will not miss necessary coursework for other classes.
