The Leader In Me
Imagine...being told from the time you are in K3 until the time you graduate that YOU ARE A LEADER...
Based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®, The Leader in Me produces transformational results in students, such as higher academic achievement, fewer disciplinary concerns, and increased engagement among both teachers and parents.
Imagine...a school where students are responsible, show initiative, are creative thinkers and implement change, who know how to set goals and meet them, who got along with people of different backgrounds and cultures, and who could resolve conflicts and solve problems?
We are creating a culture of excellence at our Elementary Campus that gives our students confidence, accountability, and a successful future. The Leader In Me program was brought to our school by Mrs. Gale Hall, principal at the Elementary Campus. It has sparked tremendous growth and appreciation within the students for their unique gifts, their leadership skills, and their committment to our school.
Each month, students learn a new "habit". These habits are repeated throughout the academic day. From morning announcements to free time, the habit can be heard in the classroom or over the loud speaker. Our students remind each other of the "habits" and desire for their classmates to rise up and meet the challenge that each new "habit" brings.
What are the "Habits" taught by The Leader In Me Program?
